Running in oil<br />
Engine oil grade<br />
0 and above SAE 15W40<br />
0 to -18 SAE 0W30<br />
-18 and -40 SAE 0W40<br />
In the first 2000 km of operation of a new or reconditioned<br />
engine, any one of the running in oils listed below should<br />
be used :<br />
Autolube 30 : (HP)<br />
Gear box oil (for GBS-76)<br />
75W90 GL4 Syn. oil<br />
Transfer case oil :<br />
Recommended lubricant - Type A, Suffix A specifications,<br />
e.g. Castrol TQ Gear oil capacity-1.2 liters.<br />
Rear axle, live front axle oil :<br />
Use oils conforming to APIGL 5 specifications. SAE 90 oil<br />
should be used upto -9 0 C and SAE 85 W 140 -40 0 C.<br />
Brake and clutch fluid<br />
Lubricants<br />
Brake fluid conforming to IS : 8654/DOT 3 is<br />
recomnmended.<br />
Spicer propeller shaft (where applicable)<br />
Lubricate slip joint with NLGI-2 grade grease.<br />
Lubrication of steering spindle and sleeve<br />
Lubricate steering spindle and sleeve with Molikote grease<br />
or mobiltac NC grease, at specified intervals.<br />
Coolants :<br />
Presence of dirt in the coolant chokes up passages in the<br />
radiator, cylinder head and cylinder block, thereby causing<br />
insufficient cooling of engine.<br />
To prevent rust information and freezing of coolant inside<br />
the passages of radiator, cylinder block and cylinder head,<br />
use genuine co-branded premixed coolant (ready to use).<br />
