901.5 CODES AND STANDARDS<br />

The following codes <strong>and</strong> st<strong>and</strong>ards are incorporated into <strong>and</strong> made a part of these<br />

<strong>regulations</strong>:<br />

a. The 2000 edition of the International Building Code (IBC) applies to new<br />

construction <strong>and</strong> alterations or additions to all <strong>facilities</strong>;<br />

b. The American Disabilities Act specifications <strong>for</strong> making buildings <strong>and</strong><br />

<strong>facilities</strong> accessible to <strong>and</strong> usable by the physically h<strong>and</strong>icapped shall<br />

apply to all <strong>facilities</strong>;<br />

902 CONVERTED FACILITIES<br />

a. Existing <strong>facilities</strong> that convert to Assisted Living Facilities must meet the<br />

following requirements:<br />

1. The facility shall provide a small refrigerator in each resident's<br />

room, except as may otherwise be provided by these regulation;<br />
