Bank Job Touchstone Pictures, which is not known for coming up with the most imaginative titles for its movies, is the producer of this adventure-comedy about a, .bank job! But that's only half the story, because the film hops back and forth between the crooks on the run, and the bumbling cops who are on their trail. The film stars Corben Bemsen and Lou Diamond Phillips, as well as Fred Gvirynne, Ed O'Neill, and singers Hoyt Axton and Ruben Blades. The film is written and directed by Jim Kouf, who wrote the Touchtone hit "Stakeout." A Buena Vista release. True Believer James Woods stars in this trumped-up courtroom drama about a liberal lavi^yer whose radicalism from the '60s has been replaced by cynicism in the '80s. He earns a living getting dope dealers off the hook by using legal loopholes, but he gets sense of duty back when he reluctantly agrees to defend a young man imjustly imprisoned for murder. Robert Downey Jr. plays the young law student who tries to revive Woods's spirit, Margaret Colin ("Three Men and a Baby") plays the street-smart private eye who helps in their case, and Kurtwood Smith ("Robo- Cop") plays the villainous prosecutor who opposes Woods in court. The film is directed by Steve Ruben, who made the little-seen but extremely eerie, "The Stepfather." A Columbia release. Fletch Lives The Adventures of Baron Munchausen You'd have to go back to "Ishtar" to find a film that has had more horrible prerelease press than this big budget fantasy. Something mysterious and very dangerous is stalking the members of an underwater lab, whose members include Peter Weller ("Robo- Cop"), Amanda Pays ("Max Headroom").
