Company Description
Ocean Optics is the inventor of the world’s first miniature
spectrometer and has specified and delivered nearly 200,000
of them over the past 20 years. The company provides solutions
for diverse applications of optical sensing in medical
and biological research, environmental regulation, science
education, production and process control. Ocean Optics also
provides a comprehensive range of complementary technologies,
including chemical sensors, metrology instrumentation,
optical fibers, probes, filters and many more spectroscopic
peripherals and accessories. Our spectrometers and sensors
also are ideal for OEM applications — with modular options
that meet virtually any application requirement.
Chief Spectroscopic Techniques Supported
Absorbance, transmission, reflectance, irradiance, fluorescence,
Raman, UV-vis, NIR, spectroradiometry, color spectroscopy,
laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS), fiber
optic chemical sensing, flow injection analysis, elemental
analysis, end-point detection, headspace monitoring, laser
characterization, nondestructive testing, multispectral imaging.
Markets Served
Ocean Optics’ technologies can be found in a diverse range of
industries and disciplines. Our products are used by innovators,
researchers, scientists, OEMs, medical and health care
