COURSE CONTENTS<br />

As head of Arkitektskap I have the responsibility for projects<br />
with complex conservation considerations and of historic<br />
significance.<br />
I have applied for NORDMAK to improve my theoretical<br />
knowledge of the field and to establish a Nordic network.<br />

The focal point of the Master is to defend,<br />
reinforce and communicate the architectural<br />
heritage and cultural environment in the<br />
North. There is a focus on both the personal<br />
development of the individual participant as<br />
well as the company’s development of core<br />
competences in an inter-Nordic perspective.<br />
Three overall goals of education are reflected<br />
in all of the course modules:<br />
• Students will acquire professional knowledge<br />
on a theoretical level, which will be used as a<br />
perspective to the knowledge and experience<br />
the students have from their daily work and enable<br />
them to handle new tasks and work more<br />
strategic with the old.<br />

I feel that NORDMAK gave me an overview,<br />
I missed. I have had the opportunity to<br />
immerse myself in theoretical subjects, eg.<br />
assessment and value description of cultural<br />
heritage objects, and the immersion has<br />
given me the preconditions to develop this<br />
part of Arkitektskap´s working field and<br />
area of business.<br />
