Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 show the variation in the negative phase sequence current measured at point
of common coupling (132 kV) and at generator output terminal respectively for a typical captive
power plant. It is found that the magnitude of negative phase sequence current at the point of
common coupling is much higher than that at generator output terminal. Higher negative phase
sequence current at PCC clearly indicates the support drawn by CPP from grid.
