Fig. 7 and Fig. 8 show the variation in the Active Power measured at the point of common
coupling (132 kV) and at generator output terminal respectively for a typical captive power plant.
It is found that variation in the active power at point of common coupling is higher than that at
generator output terminal. The CPP generator operates at constant power mode operation and
grid takes care for the variation in the demand required by CPP loads thereby providing the
support required by CPP.
