• A soldier in Italy's war with Austria in ] 848,

sloys him in a showdown gun battle.

• Lon McCallister, ornving in Montana as a goldhunter,
witnesses a brutal murder by road agents.
Learning this, Preston Foster, the sheriff and leader

a showdown battle Foster is captured and his gang

Wilson, this casts John Beal as the research psychologist

behavior patterns of the inmates of a state penitentiary.
His findings were instrumental in institutino
prison reforms.

• Loretta Young injures a young orphan boy in a
car accident. Fleeing an erroneous hit-and-run

who let Loretta off with probation.

• This is a frctionol version of the World War
II activities of Frances Longford and her small
troupe of USO entertainers in the Pacific area.
High point of the plot is her success in rehabilitating
a former football star, hopelessly crippled in
bottle, and reuniting him with the nurse with
whom he is in love.

• The personnel of a U.S. air force bose in northern
Alaska is assigned to track down o mysterious
airplane which hos been noted over the territory.
The plane, it develops, is Russian, due to test
a secret new military weapon. However, the Russian
pilot—hating the Red regime—sabotages the
croft and the test is a failure.
THE SABRE AND THE ARROW (Historical Western).

his father's trusted friend.

• Mickey Rooney, an uninhibited New York nightclub

which Mickey does with conspicuous success.

Henreid and his followers, in hand-to-hand combat,
drive out the invaders.
