• Suppose the NRCS initiatives would stop - what do you think would happen with regard to HIV and youth activities in the respective schools and communities? • Are there other organizations in the field of HIV and youth? What do they do? If you compare them with the NRCS, what are differences? • What is your experience of working with NRCS staff? What are their qualities? The information you share will be anonymous, so that none of the material we discuss will be linked with any individual. Let's start with some of the basic information about the programme and the steps you are involved in it. WITH EVERY ANSWER, THINK OF HOW ANYTHING HAS CHANGED IN THE LAST YEARS BECAUSE OF THE PROJECT. • Describe how your women group is structured: • How many women are participating? • Did you knew each other before? • Do members come from different age groups and castes? • What are the active and the less active members (different ages and castes) • Is the number changing? Who is coming and leaving? • Describe your meetings: • How often do you meet? • What are your activities? • What kind of support do you receive? • What are your reasons for joining the group? Which aspects of the women group do you enjoy or appreciate most? What is needed so that the women group stays active and interesting to you? Are there links with other women groups? • Did you talk with your partner or others about the group? With whom and what do you talk about? (for example, do you practice any letter writing to partners living abroad) • Did anything changed for you because of the women' group? • If you would have a question related to SRH, whom would you address? • What do you think of youth receiving HIV education at school? (If positive: Did you think like this before) • Thinking of all IEC materials on HIV, which one did you like most? • Do you know anybody living with HIV? What has been her/ his story? Does he/ she has friends and supporters? • There are many reasons why being supportive to PLWA can be difficult. It may not be accepted by our friends and family and we may not know what to do.
