The California Surveyor<br />
is the quarterly publicati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> The California L<strong>and</strong> Surveyors<br />
Associati<strong>on</strong> <strong>and</strong> is published as a service to the L<strong>and</strong> <strong>Surveying</strong><br />
pr<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>essi<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> California. It is mailed to all Licensed L<strong>and</strong> Surveyors<br />
<strong>and</strong> L<strong>and</strong> Surveyors in Training in the state <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> California as well as<br />
to all members <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> California L<strong>and</strong> Surveyors Associati<strong>on</strong>. The<br />
California Surveyor is an open forum for all surveyors, with an<br />
editorial policy predicated <strong>on</strong> the preamble to the c<strong>on</strong>stituti<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the<br />
California L<strong>and</strong> Surveyors Associati<strong>on</strong> <strong>and</strong> its stated aims <strong>and</strong><br />
objectives, which read:<br />
"Recognizing that the true merit <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> a pr<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>essi<strong>on</strong> is determined by<br />
the value <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> its services to society, the 'California L<strong>and</strong> Surveyors<br />
Associati<strong>on</strong>' does hereby dedicate itself to the promoti<strong>on</strong> <strong>and</strong><br />
protecti<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the pr<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>essi<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> L<strong>and</strong> <strong>Surveying</strong> as a social <strong>and</strong><br />
ec<strong>on</strong>omic influence vital to the welfare <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> society, community <strong>and</strong><br />

"The purpose <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> this organizati<strong>on</strong> is to promote the comm<strong>on</strong> good<br />
<strong>and</strong> welfare <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> its members in their activities in the pr<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>essi<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
L<strong>and</strong> <strong>Surveying</strong>, to promote <strong>and</strong> maintain the highest possible<br />
