one-to-one relocates to pontypridd<br />
Privately-owned health club One-to-<br />
One has relocated and re-opened in<br />
Pontypridd, Wales.<br />
The owners have invested £60,000<br />
in securing two empty warehouse<br />
units and transforming the space into a<br />
930sq m (10,000sq ft) health club.<br />
Facilities at the club include a wide<br />
range of CV and resistance equipment<br />
supplied by Star Trac, a free weights area<br />
and two exercise studios, with classes<br />
offered at the gym including group<br />
cycling. A local karate club will also make<br />
One-to-One its new home.<br />
According to Victoria Thomas,<br />
director of One-to-One, future plans<br />
include the opening of a second site,<br />
after the club attracted more than 100<br />
members before its opening date.<br />
She says: “The equipment in the gym<br />
will appeal to a wide audience – whether<br />
it’s sports specifi c and weight trainers,<br />

or women who are specifi cally looking<br />
to lose weight and tone up.<br />
“With a monthly membership of £30,<br />
we’re positive that our membership<br />
will increase. Hopefully, in a few years’<br />
time, we’ll be toasting our success with<br />
another fi tness facility.<br />
time fitness launches glasgow club<br />
Time Fitness is set to open its second<br />
club – in Glasgow, Scotland – during<br />
the fi rst half of <strong>March</strong>.<br />
The 465sq m (5,000sq ft) club will<br />
include 15 resistance stations, 15<br />
pieces of CV kit, two exercise studios,<br />
a sauna and a steamroom. The club<br />
will be managed on an interim basis by<br />
Time Fitness director Josh Bicknell.<br />
Bicknell says the company has set a<br />
target of attracting between 600 and<br />
900 members at the club. Club will be the company’s second<br />
girlzone adds fat-free service<br />

member of the Girlzone club<br />
Women-only health club Girlzone in<br />
Basingstoke, Hampshire, has expanded<br />
its services by launching a new “fl at<br />
stomach programme” for its members.<br />
The new programme combines a diet<br />
of whole foods, protein, carbohydrates<br />
and healthy fats with a CV and resistance<br />
exercise regime designed to reduce<br />
body fat. The basic diet and exercise<br />
programme will be issued free of charge<br />
to all members who are interested.<br />
For an extra cost, Girlzone will also<br />
offer participating members a range<br />
of ongoing support measures such as<br />
individual menus, weekly measuring and<br />
bespoke exercise programmes.<br />
