The Valganciclovir dose depends on patient’s renal function, white blood cell count and whether or
not the patient is receiving Valganciclovir for CMV prophylaxis, pre-emptive treatment or disease
treatment. Refer to the tables of Valganciclovir dosing with impaired renal function and CMV
prophylaxis and treatment protocols for renal, liver and lung recipients on the following pages.
Valganciclovir is administered with food.
