The Crosstown Theatre went all out<br />
can-can girls, music, bright lights and a<br />
sidewalk cafe—to make its lobby a sight<br />
lo see when the 20th-Fox musical. "Can-<br />
Can," was opened for its Memphis run .<br />
Guy Williams, the Zorro of the film,<br />
made personal appearances on the stage<br />
at the Malco Theatre the day the film,<br />
oign of Zorro" opened.<br />

J^ore than 2,000 saw the Johansson-Patterson<br />
fight on closed-circuit television<br />
at Loew's Grand at $5 each. Four<br />
thousand more saw it at the Ponce de<br />
Leon ballpark at $4 and $5. Manager Howard<br />
Rutherford of the Grand said he could<br />
have sold twice as many tickets.<br />
Guy (Zorro) Williams appeared on the<br />
Paramount stage for the opening of "The<br />
Sign of Zorro" . Brower was In<br />
town in behalf of "Ice Palace." due to open<br />
on the Fourth at the Fox ... A plane load<br />
of Hollywoodites attended the formal opening<br />
of the new Hilton Inn—Charles Coburn.<br />
