The primary purpose is to assist members of <strong>the</strong> Texas Legislature and <strong>the</strong>ir staffs as <strong>the</strong>y<br />

research, consider and vote on proposed legislation. The library ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong>s a specialized<br />

collection of materials, such as legislative documents from o<strong>the</strong>r states, historical documents<br />

from state agencies, state universities and legislative entities and all bill files from <strong>the</strong> 63 rd<br />

Legislative Session (1973) to <strong>the</strong> present.<br />
