Personal Statement: I have been a RN in the state of South
Dakota for over 23 years and feel that it is critical that our
South Dakota nurses are aware of and involved in what is
happening in our state in relation to both workforce issues
and legislative issues. Our profession and the healthcare issues
that affect it are constantly changing, and we need to be at the
table when those changes happen and decisions are made. I
am currently the District 1, 2, and 3 Secretary, where I have
been very active, and I look forward to the opportunity to
serve as an SDNA Nominations Committee Member.
