A Masters Degree in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Translation<br />

Studies, Speech <strong>and</strong> Language Pathology or a language, with an average of<br />

60%. Applicants with a coursework/structured masters degree should have<br />

completed a research component of at least 60 credits out of the total 180<br />

credits for admission to the <strong>doctoral</strong> degree, failing which applicants may submit<br />

for consideration evidence of publication in peer reviewed journals or conference<br />

proceedings. Proof of the credits of the research component must be submitted<br />

with the application. International students must meet the English language<br />

requirement as provided for in paragraph 2.1 of the Procedures for Studies for<br />
