OPTION C: SOUTHWESTERN kiva-style<br />
The third installation option illustrated is a corner-installation<br />
with custom fi nishing. This option requires advanced<br />
finishing methods involving either combustible or non-combustible<br />
construction materials (see Figure 11.7).<br />
Note: The kiva-style arch depth may be any size if<br />
using noncombustible materials i.e. concrete, steel,<br />
plaster, etc.<br />
• A template is provided on unit shipping carton.<br />
Simply cut along the line and use as a template when<br />
constructing kiva-style arch (see Figure 11.6).<br />
CAUTION<br />
Template for kiva-style arch represents MINIMUM inside<br />
dimensions. When constructing kiva-style arch, you must<br />
add thickness of fi nishing materials to achieve proper size<br />
of fi nished arch.<br />

• A template is provided on the unit shipping carton.<br />
Simply cut along the line and use as a template for<br />
construction purposes.<br />
• The cardboard template provided represents MINIMUM<br />
inside dimensions of the fi nished wall surface.<br />
• If fi nishing with plaster or drywall, a fi nish edge trim is<br />
provided around door front on unit. Finishing materials<br />
MUST not extend inside of the fi nish edge trim.<br />

• Inside of the kiva-style arch can be fi nished using combustible<br />
materials. For example, thin drywall may be<br />
layered to form around curved arch.<br />
CAUTION<br />
Finishing materials cut inside the provided template or inside<br />
fi nish edge trim will cause the door not to fi t.<br />
Fire Risk.<br />
WARNING<br />
Follow minimum specifi ed clearances found in<br />
Section 16, (Appliance Dimensions Diagram)<br />
and on fi replace exterior if using combustible<br />
framing materials.<br />
