Considerations<br />

and outside of the stadium be controlled during the evacuation?<br />

• How will individuals that elect not to evacuate, or are impeding the evacuation<br />

process be managed during an evacuation?<br />

• How is evacuation plan in<strong>for</strong>mation provided to spectators, particpants, VIPs, and<br />

per<strong>for</strong>mers prior to and during the event?<br />

Supporting Actions<br />

• Determine procedures <strong>for</strong> controlling spectators, participants, competitors and<br />

per<strong>for</strong>mers and ensuring their safe and proper egress from the stadium.<br />

• Brief all appropriate teams, officals, league representatives, per<strong>for</strong>mers’<br />

representatives, VIPs, and promoters on emergency and evacuation procedures.<br />

Identify proposed evacuation routes <strong>for</strong> familiarity.<br />

• Determine what happens to personal property left in the stadium during an<br />

evacuation.<br />

• Determine what in<strong>for</strong>mation will be provided to the stadium spectators and<br />

participants once the evacuation is implemented.<br />

• As part of the statement of liability, include provisions <strong>for</strong> actions to be taken in<br />

the event of non-compliant spectators.<br />

• Establish re-unification points <strong>for</strong> evacuees to bring families and groups together<br />

that may have been separated during the evacuation. Provide re-unification points<br />

<strong>for</strong> participants in order to account <strong>for</strong> personnel during the post incident<br />

activities.<br />
