The observation error is modelled by a Gaussian noise with variance propotional to the 227
error signal. The error signal represents the difference between the target line of sight and optic sight boresight center line. The neuromuscular noise is proportional to the thumb force output. The third noise is independent of outside stimulus. The need of this term was due to the real time man-in-loop tracking experiments of very low speed or near stationary targets. The numerical values of the model is listed in Table I.
