3.3. <strong>Drug</strong>s seized, legal action taken and court outcomes<br />

The principal New South Wales legislation regulating drug <strong>of</strong>fences is <strong>the</strong> <strong>Drug</strong> Misuse and Trafficking <strong>Act</strong> 1985.<br />

Schedule 1 <strong>of</strong> that <strong>Act</strong> contains a list <strong>of</strong> prohibited drugs and prescribes <strong>the</strong> quantities for drug <strong>of</strong>fences.<br />

Table 2 outlines <strong>the</strong> prescribed quantities for <strong>the</strong> prohibited drugs seized during <strong>the</strong> drug detection trial.<br />
