For the Memory Mirroring mode two identical memory modules pairs (branch 0 & 1) are necessary.<br />
( bank1 of branch 0 and 1 contain identical memory pairs )<br />
Therfore the following upgrade memory has to be ordered additionally:<br />
1.) Minimum one time the same capacity like the selected Base Memory of the basic unit =<br />
2.) For addtitional memory 2x the same capacity =<br />
The function Memory Mirroring can be configured per BIOS setup.<br />
For mirrored memory configurations the following items have to be considered:<br />
Capacity: 50% of the configured memory<br />
Availability: Maximum memory availability<br />
After non-correctable errors or too many correctable errors<br />
the Mirror takes over immediately and the system remains online.<br />
Performance: 2-way interleave only in mirror configurations,<br />
therefore potentially not max. performance<br />
In general it is recommended to use identical capacities over the branches / channels,<br />
regarding bank1 and bank 2 to ensure max. performance bandwidth. = = =<br />
