* 2U Housing including one power supply module
- hot plug Power supply unit with 1 PSU module and power cord rack 4m lenght
(can be upgraded with one additional PSU module)
* Fan unit with 4 hot plug system-fans and control logic for 8 fans
- Additional 4 hot plug system-fans as a redundant fans option (option)
* SAS Backplane for 6x 3.5" HD with cable-less connection to motherboard
* The basic units are offered with 1GB, 2GB or 4GB Memory as default.
* Drives/Bays
- 6 bays 1" for hot plug 3.5" HD (1" high)
- 1 bay for 3.5" and 1.6" high Backup device, consumes 2 bays 1" for hot plug HD
- 1 bay IDE-CD- or DVD-ROM 0,5" height (option)
- 1 bay for opt. LocalView LC-Display or floppy disk 1.44MB, 0,5" height
* Integrated ServerView Diagnostics Technology for indication of internal failed components
Mounting kit for RX300 S3 is part of the basic unit
- 1 pair of telescopic rails
- 1 Vario carrier DC-PC-3rd party Rack
allows toolless adjustable in depth and easy mounting
Mounting kit for mounting of servers in FSC 19" PRIMECENTER- racks
and all server racks conforming to EIA standard EIA-310-D for 19" racks.
Therefore the mounting kit is variable in depth from 704-900mm

* 8 memory slots for max. 32GB RAM ( Fully Buffered DIMM = FBD533 / PC2-4200F ) available
- Memory is divided into two branches, driven by a memory controller each.
- Each branch has 2 channels with 2 DIMM slots each (bank 1 and bank 2)
- Max. 4GB modules per slot are possible
- Memory upgrade is possible per branch with modul pairs ( one pair / branch )
- Memory mirrroring is supported branch to branch for 2 identical module pairs each in the same
same memory bank of branch 0 and branch 1
- Max. memory bandwidth and 4-way interleaving is supported with 2 identical memory pairs
in one memory bank (one pair per branch) if mirroring is disabled
- Chipkill is supported for memory modules,
* One Fast-IDE (ATA) channel on-board for 1x DVD integrated in the
Intel Southbridge ESB2-V
* 8-port SAS controller on-board including IME (Integrated Mirroring Enhanced) offering
the RAID level 1 without any additional costs.
* RAID5 Intel® IOP332 I/O Processor ( codenamed Brockton ) on-board which uses the on-board
LSI 1068 8-port SAS controller and which is enabled via an Upgrade Kit
"SAS MegaRaid PCI Express ROMB". This kit contains a 256MB RAID cache memory
( optional also 256MB with BBU ) and a so called iButton enable key.
* Dual channel Gbit Ethernet LAN BroadCom 5715 on-board
* Graphics controller integrated in iRMC (integrated Remote Management Controller)
Resolution: 1280 x 1024 at 8bpp or 1024 x 768 at 16 bpp, 85Hz, VESA compatible
