Waste Management Program
Reduce, Reuse and Recycle are the key
words to promote zero waste. Lectures
are given to parents, pupils and the
community.
Electricity Conservation Program
Energy-saving bulbs are used in
every classroom. Electrical devices/
appliances are shut off when not
in use.
Paper Conservation Program
Mother Earth is in dire need to be saved. To quench this,
the Cal-laguip Elementary School as one among the stewards
of saving our environment upholds the value of internalizing
school environmental policies making its children, parents and
faculty the agents of achieving set goals. Hence, their actions
impact the environment.
The school as the second home of the children is geared
towards the environmental policies, making it ecologicallyfriendly.
On maintaining cleanliness, trash bins are labeled as
biodegradable and non-biodegradable. The children are guided
to segregate the recyclable wastes into “bote”, “plastic” and
“bakal”. On energy conservation, pupils are directed to switch
off lights and electric fans when they are not in use. On water
conservation, children know how to use water in a minimal way

Greening Program
Varieties of plants are propagated
every now and then. Eco-Park,
Herbarium and nursery are always
maintained.

on the concept of “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle”, every part of the school boosts
with a wide array of useful crafts out of recycled materials.
These environmental policies of the school are disciplines that educate
the parents and children to prosper in a sustainable eco-friendly school.
