art work accepted for exhibition at<br />
the Creative Generations Awards<br />
held at Griffith University, Gold Coast<br />
campus. All were commended for<br />
their innovation and creativity.<br />
Recognized for Commitment<br />
and Fair Play; As part of the<br />
Brisbane Roar’s pre-season warm<br />
up tour, they visited the Redland<br />
United Football Club, (RUFC) to play<br />
their Veto League Team. The RUFC<br />
selected members from their junior<br />
teams who had shown “Exceptional<br />
understanding of fair play and a<br />
strong commitment to training” to<br />
represent their home team as Ball<br />
Boys. The boys selected were all from<br />
<strong>Ormiston</strong> <strong>College</strong>, Callum Warden<br />
(Year 4), Jake Lambourne (Year 5)<br />
Flynn Warden (Year 1), Josh Steele<br />
(Year 4), Merrick Hoffman (Year 4)<br />
Luke Lambourne (Year 4) and Woody<br />
Holmes (Year 4). The boys were<br />
lucky enough to meet and chat with<br />
the Brisbane Roar players after their<br />
game.<br />
Eneh Gilbert (Year 8) entered the<br />
CYA (Children’s and Young Adult<br />
Writers) Conference Competition<br />
for unpublished writers, which is<br />
sponsored by Penguin Books. This<br />
was Eneh’s first experience in a<br />
writing competition and she must be<br />
congratulated on the complimentary<br />
comments from the Judges and for<br />
her high percentage score of 80.45.<br />
