Extend Key Skills across the Curriculum
Target(s): Roll out the Welsh Baccalaureate at Post-16 in September 2009
Impact/success criteria:
• The Baccalaureate is in place and is successful
• The majority of students achieve the level 3 award at the
end of year 13
• Learners develop in confidence and build upon the
development of independent learning skills acquired at
KS3 & KS4.
• Learners develop knowledge and understanding of issues
outside the confines of subject specific courses through
non-formal and informal learning.
• Attendance at W.B. core/tutorial sessions is
commensurate with subject attendance levels.
• Retention rates from year 12 to 13 improve.
• The school as a whole benefits from the range of
community work undertaken by students as part of the
W.B. programme.
