The next BOD/General Membership meeting<br />
will be held Wednesday, August 26th,<br />
2009 at Aurelio’s Pizza in Addison, Il. The<br />
BOD Meeting start time is officially 7:30<br />
PM.<br />
The BOD will meet to review the <strong>Club</strong><br />
Business agenda, with the General Membership<br />
meeting following immediately afterward<br />
at 8:00 PM. Plan to come early<br />
and enjoy a snack with some of your <strong>Club</strong><br />
members.<br />
Aurelio’s Pizza is located at 1455 W. Lake<br />
Street in Addison, IL, just East if I-355,<br />
and West of John’s Pizza, the old CSCC<br />
meeting location. An easy route is to exit<br />
I-90 at Rt. 83 (Southbound), proceeding<br />
South toward the Lake Street Exit (Route<br />
20). Proceed Westbound on Lake Street<br />
-or- Exit East from I 355 and proceed East<br />
on Lake Street (Route. 20) to Aurelio’s.<br />
We will review the plans for 2009 and<br />
the upcoming CSCC events including the<br />
2009 “<strong>Chicagoland</strong>’s Loooong Race”.<br />
The 40th Anniversary of the Formula Ford Racing Class took place at<br />
Road America in mid-July. There were a number of Midwestern Council<br />
competitors in attendance. Notably, Jack Bartelt and his Lola T540 were<br />
featured in the Lola tent. Pete Wood commented on the race, “Oh, for<br />
those who weren’t there, the race was a ball. 98 cars started, I went<br />
from 53rd to 35th in class with plenty of action along the way. Not for<br />
the faint of heart, nor would I do it weekly.”
