The Diploma in Human Resource
Management and Practices is useful
for HR Practitioners who operationalise
aspects of core processes and practices
at a basic level across four role clusters
in the field:

•• establishment and improvement of
labour and employee relations;
•• compensation and administration
related to people management.

How will you be trained?
The Diploma in HRM is based on the
registered HRM standards provided by
SAQA. This implies that the course is
very practical and covers foundational,
practical and reflective components.
three compulsory study schools take
place every six months. During these
schools, study groups are formed to
ensure that you always have the support
of colleagues and are able to integrate
knowledge through group discussions.
After the initial study school, there is an
additional assessment support session
per module on a Saturday. The presenters
of contact sessions are subject-matter
experts with industry experience.
Ongoing learner support is provided
telephonically and via the Internet and
electronic mail.
The full qualification consists of ten
modules. Learners must complete all ten
modules plus an integrated examination.
Subject to the attainment of the required
results, a Diploma in HRM will be
awarded.
Another option is to enrol per module
of your choice. For this option, learners
are assessed and are awarded a modulespecific
certificate upon successful
completion of the course. Module credits
are retained and can be used towards
further studies within the following three
years.
NQF credits
The full diploma is equal to 250 credits on
Level 5 of the NQF.
