Balanced wine with fresh acidity, somewhat grainy tannins, quite light bodied.

Morey-Saint-Denis
Smoky dark cherry aroma with touch of spice. Thicker tannins, medium to full-bodied,
agreeably soft and rounded in the middle palate, quite dense and with rather loose
tannins. Slightly bucolic, but plenty of character and a punchy finish. Good. From

Chambolle-Musigny
Lively red fruit on the nose – from a new barrel which did rather mask this sample.
Vibrant acidity and a direct firm profile. Ripe raspberry fruit with an attractive fruity
finish. Perhaps a bit one dimensional. Attractive. From 2007
Nuits-Saint-Georges, Aux Argillas
The domaine has full control of managing this vineyard. It belongs to a vintner who
has retired, but doesn’t want to sell. It is a ‘cool’ site.
Dark fruit, tarry and smoky aroma. Very fresh attack. Dense core, pure and direct,
with a strict tannic structure, grainy and quite mineral. Not especially prolonged.
Good typicité. Very good. From 2008/9
Nuits-Saint-Georges , Les Perrières
This is an old vineyard. Les Perrières is a stony site up the slope.
Black slightly sooty, brighter and more lifted than Aux Argillas. More elegant, finer
grained tannins. Agreeably rounded, medium bodied with an attractive sweetness to
the fruit; rather seductive for a Nuits-Saint-George. Really quite stylish with a touch
of minerality. Particularly good. From 2009
Chambolle-Musigny, Les Cras
Very nicely perfumed. Soft and seductive up front, but with some grip on the middle
palate. Rather lush tannins, decent concentration, rounded with moderate acidity and
a long sweet finish. Quite fleshly and perhaps not the most poised of wines, but very
attractive never-the-less. Particularly good. From 2008
Chambolle-Musigny, Les Fuesselottes
This has quite a strict linear profile and finely grained firm tannins. It is quite nervy
with a taut middle and moderate to fresh acidity. Very good+. From 2008
Domaine Wine
Vosne-Romanée
Perfumed, redcurrant fruit and rather elegant. Moderate substance with lively acidity,
very well balanced. Slightly sappy, but clear and attractive with fine grained tannins.
Pure and correct and typical, but seems a touch superficial. Very good. From 2008
Vosne-Romanée, Les Chaumes
This year Méo experimented with some stalk retention with Les Chaumes. His
objective is to add structure to this cuvée which can be a bit lacking. He’s happy with
the results in terms of structure, but is worried by the aroma, which he considers has
been altered too much.
