Medication Pick Up
To promote a safe school environment, the school will destroy any medication left at the school over the
summer vacation. The school will take the medication to the nearest pharmacy that participates in the
hazardous waste disposal program. This action will ensure that outdated medication is not administered to
your children and eliminates the storage of medication at the school over the summer. To ensure that the
school does not dispose of wanted medication, please pickup your child’s medication prior to the summer
vacation. Please note that medication CANNOT be sent home with your child.
To ensure the school is using current information about your child’s medication, an Authorization for
Medication form must be completed each year. To assist parents, these forms are available for
pick-up to be completed for the 2013-2014 year. A convenient time to receive these forms
might be when you come to pick up your child’s unused medication in June.
