Mr. Locken’s Lemonade Party!<br />
Students at Bertrun E. Glavin are enjoying the<br />
opportunity to enjoy a cool glass of lemonade while<br />
having a conversation with Mr. Locken & students<br />
from each of the classrooms from every grade level.<br />
The selection process is simple, students <strong>ca</strong>n be<br />
recognized for any special effort, accomplishment or<br />
act of kindness that stands out in their teachers mind.<br />
Keep working hard and maybe it will be you at the next<br />

Kindergarten Registration<br />
Register for Kindergarten <strong>2013</strong> - 2014 NOW!!<br />
Kindergarten registration is for all children born in 2008, meaning your child must have their<br />
5th birthday on or before Dece<strong>mb</strong>er 31, <strong>2013</strong>.<br />
In order to register your child, you must provide proof of age and proof of residency.<br />
This documentation must be presented at the time of registration.<br />
Proof of age (1 of the following) - Birth Certifi<strong>ca</strong>te - Passport - Baptismal Certifi<strong>ca</strong>te<br />
- Treaty Card - Certifi<strong>ca</strong>te of Birth Registration signed by Vital Statistics.<br />
Proof of residency (2 of the following) - Driver’s License - Manitoba Health Card<br />
- Tenancy Agreement - Accepted offer to purchase documents - Utility Bill<br />
School of Choice<br />
Parents/Guardians may request that their child attend a different school from the one<br />
designated by their home address. School of Choice requests for students living within the<br />
River East Transcona School Division will be accepted starting March 4, <strong>2013</strong>.<br />
Parents must complete the form along with the registration at their <strong>ca</strong>tchment school.<br />
Appli<strong>ca</strong>nts will be notified by <strong>June</strong> 30 as to whether or not they have been accepted into the<br />
school of choice. For further information, please consult your school principal and the River<br />
East Transcona School Division policy JFBA.<br />
