The Chefs in Grade 1/2
To celebrate our learning about Canada, we became chefs and prepared some French
grated cheese and gravy sure tastes good! Our second recipe gave us the opportunity to
work with something sweet – sugar tarts! Bon Appétit!
Creative Writing in 2A
All of the students in 2A have worked very hard in their creative writing this year! We have
written many short and long stories. As a class, we are currently writing the fifth chapter of
a book that we have been working on since Term II. It is a book called, The Day My Bucket
Spilled. This story is about a boy named Ash and a girl named Daisy who work together to
encourage a friend to make good choices. (It can be found in poetry binders at the end of
June). Independently, we each just finished writing funny and insightful books for our
friends who are currently finishing grade one titled, Grade Two Survival Guide. These
survival guides are full of tips and wisdom including: the importance of learning to tie
your shoes, learning cool dance moves, and just being yourself. Bravo to our 2A writers
who have truly written some heart-warming stories and witty comedy this year!
