Mary O’Donnell Emineke ’05,<br />

Chem., successfully defended her<br />

dissertation, What Is a Chemical?<br />

Fourth-Grade Children’s<br />

Categorization of Everyday Objects<br />

and Substances. Her oral report<br />

was titled Learning in the<br />

Analytical Laboratory and<br />

Investigating Children’s Ideas about<br />

Chemicals. In September 2010, she<br />

began a post-doctoral position at<br />

Iowa State University working with<br />

the director of the ACS Exams<br />

Institute in Ames, Iowa. She married<br />

Bright Emineke in 2009.<br />

Jessica Ann Best ’06, Music<br />

Perf., is a principal artist with<br />

Opera Tampa in Florida. She was<br />

also recently a soloist in the<br />

Rochester Chamber Orchestra’s<br />

performance of Handel’s Messiah.<br />

Cameron Adams McCurty ’06,<br />

’10G, CSD, was selected to participate<br />

in the Minority Student<br />

Leadership Program at the<br />

American-Speech-Language-<br />

Hearing Association Convention in<br />

Philadelphia in November 2010.<br />

Brian Hauck ’10, Chem. and<br />

Adol. Ed., spent the summer of<br />

2009 teaching environmental<br />

chemistry and forensic science<br />

at Explo Summer Camp at Yale.<br />

He is currently enrolled in<br />

graduate school at Washington<br />

State University.<br />

Jen Morton ’10, Art Hist., is<br />

living in Kingston, Ontario,<br />

Canada, and is currently enrolled<br />

in the Masters of Art Conservation<br />

program, paintings treatment<br />

stream, at Queen’s University.<br />

Alexandra Parrotta ’10, Bus.<br />

Adm., is a youth advocate with<br />

Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection.<br />

The program provides academic<br />

support, part-time employment<br />

experience, and long-term<br />

mentoring. She also volunteers<br />

with the Young Women’s Group.<br />

Adam Rall ’10, Chem., is<br />

working in the molecular biology<br />

group at Max Planck Institute<br />

for Chemical Ecology in Jena,<br />

Germany.<br />

Shannon Rene ’10, Bus. Adm.,<br />

worked as a team leader for<br />

Cooper Vision and then in the<br />

financial world. She is now working<br />

toward becoming a personal<br />

trainer. Currently, she is in her<br />

rookie season as a safety/wide<br />

receiver for the Chicago Bliss of<br />

the Lingerie Football League.<br />

Graduate<br />

Lynne Hallock Erdle ’82G was<br />

awarded the 2010 Athena Award<br />

from the Canandaigua Chamber<br />

of Commerce and the Professional<br />

Women of the Finger Lakes. The<br />

Athena Award recognizes leadership,<br />

advocacy, and collaboration<br />

with others.<br />

Amy Avino Bryan ’90G is a<br />

kindergarten teacher in the Finger<br />

Lakes. She is currently working on<br />

her master’s degree in literacy.<br />

Susan Ruckdeschel ’91G is<br />

hosting writing workshops for<br />

grade-school students at Literacy<br />

Solutions in Beacon, N.Y. She<br />

has also written a number of<br />

teaching aids and handbooks for<br />

young writers, peer coaches, and<br />

instructors or parents.<br />

Albert Ambroselli Jr. ’98G has<br />

been teaching English with the<br />

Genesee Valley Educational<br />

Partnership at Leicester Academy<br />

since 2000. He is also actively<br />

involved with People Rebuilding<br />

and Living in Dignity, which advocates<br />

for and assists adults who<br />

have suffered traumatic brain injuries.<br />

In addition to this, he has<br />

been coaching and umpiring with<br />

the Rush-Henrietta Athletic<br />

Association for 20 years.<br />

John Taylor ’06G worked in<br />

academic computing systems management<br />

and then oversaw the<br />

administrative local area of network<br />

and security, hardware and<br />

software resources, and training<br />

and support at Finger Lakes<br />

Community <strong>College</strong>. While there,<br />
