Partnerships<br />
To further enhance our mission,<br />
Hospice of the Western Reserve<br />
developed a number of partnerships<br />
with disease-specific agencies, advocacy<br />
groups and cancer centers.<br />
Expanding Partnerships<br />
With cooperation from the Cleveland<br />
Area Chapter of the Alzheimer’s<br />
Association, a senior expo informed the<br />
<strong>community</strong> on advances in dementia<br />
and palliative <strong>care</strong>. The Honorable<br />
Sherrod Brown addressed Medi<strong>care</strong><br />
Part D concerns, spending cuts and the<br />
new prescription drug benefit at this<br />
<strong>community</strong> program in Lorain County,<br />
titled What Every Senior Needs to Know.<br />
The 27th Annual Meeting featured<br />
the stage adaptation of Tuesdays with<br />
Morrie at the Cleveland Play House<br />
in conjunction with The ALS<br />
Association Northern Ohio Chapter.<br />
This collaboration continues to allow<br />
patients and their families additional<br />
resources in their disease progression.<br />
