control, or when it is not possible to calculate the amount. Realisation of contingent liabilities that are not recognised or not<br />
included in the annual report can have a material effect on the <strong>Group</strong>’s financial position.<br />
The <strong>Group</strong> regularly reviews significant outstanding disputes to determine the need for provisions. Among the factors considered in<br />
such an assessment are the type of litigation or summons, the amount of any damages, the development of the case, perceptions of<br />
legal and other advisers, experience from similar cases, and decisions of <strong>Group</strong> management regarding the <strong>Group</strong>’s actions<br />
concerning these disputes. Estimates do not necessarily reflect the outcome of pending litigation, and differences between outcome<br />
and estimate may significantly affect the Company’s financial position and have an unfavourable impact on operating income and<br />

Note 4 Segment information<br />
<strong>Group</strong> operations are divided into three segments. Each segment manager regularly reports to <strong>Group</strong> management, the <strong>Group</strong>’s highest<br />
operative decisionmaker. The <strong>Group</strong>’s internal reporting is designed so executive management can follow each segment’s performance.<br />
• The Entertainment segment comprises <strong>CDON</strong>.COM, BookPlus.fi, and Lekmer.com, internet-based retailers of films, games, music,<br />
books, home electronics, and toys.<br />
• The Sports & Health segment retails health products and is comprised of Gymgrossisten.com, Bodystore.com and Fitnesstukku.fi.<br />
• The Fashion segment is a retailer of clothes and shoes for women and children, and comprise Nelly.com, Linuslotta.com, and<br />
Heppo.com.<br />
Subsidiaries are attributable entirely to their respective segment.<br />
