9. Performance
Management and
implementation
The Domestic Violence and Abuse Reduction
Strategy will be monitored and delivered through
an action plan based on the priorities that have
been agreed by the partner agencies.
Agencies will take responsibility for ensuring their
actions are completed within the agreed
timescales.
The management of the strategy and the
monitoring of the action plan will be integrated
within the Safe Newcastle Performance
Management Framework, which utilises a
quarterly monitoring process (QMR’s).
Quarterly Monitoring Reports will be presented to
the NDVAP. The chair of the NDVAP will then report
back to the Safe Newcastle Board and LSCB on a
quarterly basis. Additionally an annual report will
be produced, introducing an updated action plan
for the following year. The annual action plan will
be agreed by the NDVAP and fed into Safe
Newcastle and LSCB.
Performance monitoring will be carried out using
existing, and developing new, performance
indicators (PIs). The PIs will be aligned to
Governmental and ODPM PIs and those outlined in
the independent review of the Full Circle Project.
The NDVAP will ensure a vigorous system for
the monitoring of domestic violence is in place,
however reliable data is needed in the first
instance. The first year of the strategy will
therefore be dedicated to establishing robust
baselines and ODPM Pls.
