NICK COLLELUORI HEADSTRONG FOUNDATION<br />
Nick Colleluori, who would have been part of the<br />
class of 2008, fought a “relentless” battle against<br />
Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and while Nick lost<br />
his battle on November 28, 2006, his vision has<br />
just begun.<br />
The HEADstrong Foundation is<br />
dedicated to Nick’s life. During his<br />
14-month battle, which included<br />
chemotherapy, a stem-cell transplant<br />
and extensive radiation treatment,<br />
it was Nick’s vision to establish<br />
this foundation to raise awareness<br />
and help others affected by this<br />
disease. He drew the logo as he was<br />
waiting to go into the operating<br />
room for a procedure. Because<br />
lacrosse was his passion and he can<br />
no longer carry the ball, his family<br />
and friends will carry the ball for<br />
him.<br />

HEADstrong Foundation Nick<br />
Colleluori Memorial Classic<br />
The Pride <strong>com</strong>pete in the annual HEADstrong Foundation<br />
Nick Colleluori Memorial Classic at Ridley High School in<br />
Folsom, Pennsylvania. The underlying<br />
thread of the tournament is lacrosse, but<br />
the real theme was helping those in need.<br />
In 2007 approximately $75,000 was<br />
raised for the HEADstrong Foundation<br />
through sponsorships, auctions, raffles<br />
and the sale of HEADstrong Foundation<br />
t-shirts. The 2008 event, which was<br />
held October 11, surpassed that total<br />
with nearly $150,000 raised at the nineteam<br />
tournament. In 2009 20-teams<br />
participated in the event and, coupled<br />
with a 12-team women’s tournament on<br />
the Hofstra campus, raised more than<br />
$200,000 for the foundation.<br />
The 2010 edition of the Colleluori<br />
Classic, which took place October 9-10,<br />
was also a great success with more<br />
than $150,000 raised. The tournament<br />
featured 10 NCAA Division I teams <strong>com</strong>peting on the<br />
9th and 10 NCAA Division II & III squads in action on<br />
the 10th. A 14-team women’s event at Hofstra raised an<br />
additional $40,000 in funds<br />
