APRIL 6 VS. MANHATTAN:<br />
Junior attackman Jamie Lincoln scored a game-high four goals and<br />
freshman Aaron Jones registered his first career hat trick in leading<br />
10th-ranked Hofstra to an 18-2 win over Manhattan in a non-conference<br />
matchup at James M. Shuart Stadium.<br />
Jones entered with one goal in his first eight games but tallied two of his<br />
three goals in the second half while adding an assist for a four-point night.<br />

Junior Jay Card and senior Tom Interlicchio scored two goals each to lift<br />
Hofstra’s record to 6-3. Eleven players scored at least one goal for the<br />
Pride. Sal Spatarella and Tyler Jarvis scored for the Jaspers as Manhattan<br />
dropped to 4-5.<br />
Hofstra rebounded from a two-goal conference loss to Drexel to post its<br />
second win in three games. The Pride continued its strong showing at<br />
home, moving to 5-0 at Shuart Stadium and out-scoring opponents, 78-28<br />
during that stretch.<br />
Pride freshman Michael Hamilton capped a string of 16 consecutive<br />
Hofstra goals from the start of the contest when he buried a shot from fiveyards<br />
out late in the third quarter. Sophomore goalie Andrew Gvozden<br />
made 10 saves and was working on a shutout before Manhattan freshman<br />
Tyler Jarvis beat him from nine-yards out with 27.2 seconds remaining<br />
in the third quarter. Almost 15 seconds later, freshman Michael Burke<br />
raced near the Jaspers cage and pushed in a close-range shot for a 17-1<br />
lead heading into the last quarter. Gvozden came out to start the fourth.<br />
Freshmen Rob Bellairs saved one of two shots on goal and classmate Kyle<br />
Dillon made two saves without allowing goal to close out the win.<br />
Attackman Tyler Corcoran’s goal from 6-yards out early in the fourth<br />
quarter galvanized the Hofstra bench. The goal was the first career marker<br />
for the freshman.<br />
Five different Hofstra players-Card, Lincoln, Interlicchio, Brad Loizeaux<br />
and Stephen Bentz-scored in the opening 11:22 to break the game open.<br />
The Pride built a 12-0 halftime lead, holding a 21-12 shot advantage over<br />
the Jaspers heading into the locker rooms.<br />
Senior midfielder Sean Lucas scooped up a Hofstra-leading five<br />
groundballs. Long-stick midfielder Adam Mojica and John Antoniades<br />
collected four more, helping the Pride build a 42-29 edge in the category.<br />

APRIL 10 VS. DELAwARE:<br />
Jay Card and Kevin <strong>For</strong>d each scored three goals and Stephen Bentz added<br />
two to lead the 10th-ranked Hofstra Pride to a 12-11 CAA victory over the<br />
Delaware Blue Hens in the Konica-Minolta Big City Classic at the New<br />
Meadowlands Stadium.<br />
Card, a junior, tallied a game-high six points on three goals and three<br />
assists with classmate Bentz adding two goals and two assists. <strong>For</strong>d, a<br />
sophomore who returned to action after missing the previous two games<br />
with a foot injury, scored three goals and added one assist. Hofstra<br />
sophomore goalie Andrew Gvozden stopped 11 shots in the Pride cage<br />
for his second win of the year. The Blue Hens of Delaware were led by<br />
senior Curtis Dickson with four goals while senior Martin Cahill added two<br />
assists. Junior Noah Fossner made 10 saves in the Blue Hens’ cage.<br />
The first half featured four lead changes and five tied scores. The Pride<br />
would use a five-goal run near the end of the first half and into the third<br />
