Learning Platforms and Resources
Student teachers may access social, open, and collaborative
learning platforms such as wikis, blogs, and Google apps as well as
NIE's Learning Management System, GeNIEus. ICT workshops are
provided every semester to equip student teachers with the skills to
effectively integrate ICT for learning while in NIE and subsequently
for teaching when they are posted to schools. Online video tutorials
and teaching resources are available in NIe-Learning
(http://www.cel.nie.edu.sg/nielearning). Resources and support for
NIE’s e-portfolio programme (a key TE 21 initiative) are available at
https://sites.google.com/site/niefolioportal. Training and pedagogical
consultation for e-learning and blended forms of learning are
provided by the Centre for e-Learning (http://www.cel.nie.edu.sg).

Mobile Apps for Learning
In collaboration with academic groups in NIE, the Centre for e-
Learning (CeL) has created free native iOS and web apps for
