No, it’s his last painting, it’s<br />
unfinished. You can look at it and<br />
always imagine what he would’ve<br />
done with the colors here.<br />
GEORGE<br />
Nice. Very nice. Let me get a<br />
hammer, so you can help me hang it<br />
on the wall.<br />
EXT. COURTYARD BLDG. - DAY<br />
JOEY’S GIRLFRIEND sits on a bench in the middle of the<br />
courtyard, with a skateboard by her side, playing with<br />
her smart phone. She sees someone approaching, and gets<br />
up. Joey comes to greet her. He holds her hand, and they<br />
start to walk away, each holding their own skateboard.<br />
INT. APT. IN THE WEST VILLAGE - DAY<br />
George watches the young lovers from the window.<br />
After a moment, he turns around and sees himself alone in<br />
the apartment. He walks to the Skateboarder painting,<br />
looks at it and tilts it a tiny bit, making sure it’s<br />
squared on the wall.<br />
EXT. MORTON STREET - DAY<br />
The quiet street is covered by an arc of trees.<br />
