A YOUNG COUPLE walks by, without noticing them.<br />

They walk towards the entrance to the trains. Ben passes<br />

though the turnstile with his card.<br />

BEN<br />

Good night George.<br />

Night, Ben.<br />

GEORGE<br />

George watches as Ben waves and disappears down the<br />

platform.<br />

FADE OUT.<br />

EXT. STREETS OF WEST VILLAGE - DAY<br />

George walks alone on the not so crowded streets of the<br />

West Village, crossing South on 7th Avenue.<br />

EXT. STREETS OF WEST VILLAGE / COURTYARD BLDG. - DAY<br />

George turns the corner into a very quiet, tree lined<br />

street in the Village.<br />

He arrives at the old brick building, and goes through<br />

the gate.<br />

EXT. COURTYARD BLDG. - DAY<br />

The sun reflects on the freshly watered garden, which is<br />

nicely landscaped and well taken care of. The old<br />

building surrounding this central courtyard is low, only<br />

5 stories high. The place is quiet, and has a sort of a<br />

monastic feeling.<br />

As George crosses the yard towards the entrance to the<br />

left, he doesn’t notice a young man coming from the other<br />

side.<br />

Hey, George.<br />

JOEY (O.S.)<br />

It is Joey, carrying a shopping bag and a skateboard.<br />
