The door is ajar, and Joey enters.<br />

Vlad is here. We have to do our<br />
presentation on Sustainable<br />
Development today.<br />
KATE<br />
Oh wow. I can’t wait to see it.<br />
JOEY<br />
I think we’re going to the<br />
library.<br />
KATE<br />
But isn’t Vlad here<br />
JOEY<br />
I told you, yes.<br />
KATE<br />
So why don’t you guys just stay<br />
here<br />
INT. JOEY’S BEDROOM - DAY (CONTINUOUS)<br />
Joey’s bedroom is small, with a bunk bed and a small desk<br />
by the window with a computer. There’s a bookshelf full<br />
of books, photos and some quirky objects. On the wall a<br />
faux vintage poster of the Titanic (the boat, not the<br />
movie).<br />
And there, propped up on the lower of the beds, with an<br />
open book lying on his chest, is Ben. He is shirtless,<br />
and wearing only his boxer shorts underwear. His eyes are<br />
closed, his head tilted to the side - he has fallen<br />
asleep, his reading glasses dangling from his nose.<br />
The door opens, and Joey comes in, followed by Kate. Both<br />
take in the unexpected vision of the old man’s nearly<br />
naked body.<br />
KATE<br />
(whispering)<br />
Wake him gently.<br />
