SERVICES AND FACILITIES
LOCATION / ADDRESS Moginie, Munro Hill.
COMMUNITY Caters for age range 18 to early 20s.
AVAILABILITY Rooms available for full semester periods.
Prioritised for students new to study at Massey.
ROOMS 95 single rooms.
EACH ROOM HAS Single bed and bed linen, noticeboard,
wardrobe, heating, study chair, desk, shelves, rubbish bin.
THE HALL HAS Three common areas and one main
common room, two toilets and one shower per nine
residents, four kitchens with snack-making facilities,
central laundry facilities, TV and Sky connection.
TECHNOLOGY SERVICES Walter Dyer is very close to
the Ruahine Computer Lab with 13 university-networked
computers and printers, and a short walk from the
undergraduate and postgraduate computer labs on
campus. Telephone line in each room. A broadband
Internet service is available at a cost to the resident**.
SUPPORT Three Residential Advisers for 95 students.
Accommodation Services oversee community wellbeing
and social activities. Short walk to free on-campus student
services including Medical Centre, Student Counselling
and Centre for Teaching and Learning.
SECURITY All rooms have door locks, exterior doors have
swipe-card access for residents only. 24-hour security staff
patrol campus and are available for assistance.
MEALS Walter Dyer is a catered hall, a meal package is
incorporated in the accommodation fees. Walter Dyer is a
five-minute walk from the central food court.
TRANSPORT Five-minute walk to central bus stop on
campus, regular free bus service to the city and between
Turitea and Hokowhitu sites. Additional free bus service to
and from the city on Thursday and Saturday nights.
PARKING Parking is available in the Moginie carpark. The
cost is $80 per semester, plus a $20 refundable bond*.

STUDY-RELATED SERVICES Study groups for specific first
year papers. 5-10 minute walk to Centre for Teaching and
Learning, Library, Fale Pasifika and Kāinga Rua support
services.
SPORT, LEISURE AND CULTURE Regular inter- and intrahall
social, cultural and sporting activities. Short walk
to Library, Music and Performance Room, International
Community Centre, Recreation Centre, sports fields and
courts, all-weather athletic track and Equestrian Centre.
