THE CREATIVE CAMPUS<br />

<strong>Massey</strong> <strong>University</strong> Welling<strong>to</strong>n is centrally located so you<br />

can easily take advantage of everything on offer in the city.<br />

<strong>Accommodation</strong> for students is adjacent <strong>to</strong> the campus,<br />

just a short walk <strong>to</strong> the famous Cuba Street, Courtenay<br />

Place and Lamb<strong>to</strong>n Quay entertainment and shopping<br />

areas, as well as the city’s Central Business District.<br />

Like the city, the campus has a compact and friendly<br />

atmosphere that is vibrant and fresh. It includes the<br />

his<strong>to</strong>ric refurbished Museum Building - Tokomaru, and the<br />

new state-of-the-art creative arts building Te Ara Hihiko,<br />

opened in 2012. Welling<strong>to</strong>n International Airport, the Interisland<br />

Ferry Terminal and the Railway Station are just a 15<br />

minute drive away.<br />

<strong>Massey</strong> Welling<strong>to</strong>n offers a diverse range of internationally<br />

recognised programmes across health, sport science,<br />

business, communication and the creative arts. It is the<br />

home of the internationally renowned School of Design,<br />

established in 1886, as well as the Schools of Fine Arts<br />

and Visual and Material Culture. It is also home <strong>to</strong> New<br />

Zealand's oldest and most respected School of Journalism,<br />

and the New Zealand School of Music, in partnership with<br />

Vic<strong>to</strong>ria <strong>University</strong>.<br />

Key student services and facilities include a recreation<br />

centre, a gym, the Student Centre with common rooms and<br />

a study area, a bookshop, and the Tussock Café and Bar,<br />
