The <strong>2010</strong> WMU FSAE vehicle was designed in mind for the weekend autocross<br />
driver. Formatted for maximum driver feedback and adjustability, the integrated<br />
dash panel and adjustable Anti-Roll Bars allows for fine-tuning of the physical<br />
vehicle and driver response. The chassis rolls on a newly designed rotating<br />
hollow spindle assembly and numerous manufactured CNC components while<br />
the powertrain was set-up using a combination of dynamometer tuning and<br />
theoretical engine simulation through Ricardo modeling software to bring<br />
maximum power to the wheels. The <strong>2010</strong> WMU FSAE vehicle is ready to take the<br />
team farther than ever before.<br />

(1) Ergonomic seat design: A driver’s seat is designed based on ergonomic<br />
analysis of human sitting posture. The seat is shaped with a very smooth curve for<br />
enhancing driver’s comfort, convenience and control.<br />
(2) Multi-functional frame: Frame elements are designed to provide space for<br />
component installation as well as load-bearing capabilities. Consequently, the<br />
frame becomes simple and light by minimizing the number of structural elements.<br />
(3) Enhanced cornering capabilities: The weight center of TF-2 is maintained near<br />
the bottom by lowering the engine and the seat. A variable steering system and a<br />
stabilizer are implemented to accomplish an optimum performance. Also, the front<br />
and rear suspensions are designed considering the tire characteristics.<br />
(4) Electronic shift: An electronic lever and an actuator are installed on the<br />
steering wheel such that a driver could do shift conveniently at any situations.<br />
(5) Adjustable system: TF-2 has the following components adjustable: the steering<br />
system, the powertrain, the suspension and the driver seat.<br />
