MacLeod Review events<br />
The following events were held as part of the review process:<br />
13/11/08 – A CIPD Action Learning Group: The Future of Employee Relations<br />
A group of 15 CIPD members brought together as part of a CIPD Action Learning Group<br />
for initial discussions on the MacLeod Review.<br />
20/11/08 – BIS Advisory Forum on the Impact of Employment Policies<br />
This group is made up of around 15 senior business academics and economists who<br />
specifically discussed the MacLeod Review at this meeting.<br />
10/12/08 – Employee Ownership Association consultation meeting<br />
A meeting comprising a selection of members from the Employee Ownership Association.<br />
15/12/08 – IPA Advisory Council<br />
David MacLeod addressed around 40 members of the IPA Advisory Council, from the<br />
public, private and third sectors.<br />
17/12/08 – CBI Members event<br />
A small group of CBI members from the private sector attended this meeting held at BIS<br />
to discuss their experiences of engagement.<br />
17/12/08 – Roundtable discussion with members of Cooperatives UK<br />
Around 10 members of Cooperatives UK visited BIS to discuss the review.<br />
07/01/09 – High level public sector roundtable<br />
Cabinet Office hosted a meeting for a small number of senior officials from across<br />
Whitehall.<br />
14/01/09 – South of England regional event<br />
Regional consultation roundtable held in London, arranged in conjunction with the South<br />
East of England Development Agency (SEEDA), also with input from South West of<br />
England Regional Development Agency and London Development Agency. Approximately<br />
30 delegates attended from a mixture of public and private sector organisations.<br />
16/01/09 – Midlands regional event<br />
Regional consultation roundtable held in Leicester, in conjunction with East Midlands<br />
Development Agency (EMDA), also with input from East of England Development Agency<br />
(EEDA) and Advantage West Midlands. This was the second in a series of regional events,<br />
attended by around 30 people from the public and private sectors.<br />
22/01/09 – Working level public sector roundtable<br />
A meeting to discuss the practical implementation of employee engagement in the<br />
public sector. Attended by around 15 delegates from across the public sector.<br />
22/01/09 – Institute of Hospitality Roundtable<br />
Around 15 delegates attended a meeting at BIS for a discussion on engagement in the<br />
hospitality sector.<br />
