5.3 Description <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Strategic</strong> <strong>Plan</strong>ning Process<br />
The department conducts three strategic planning workshops per annum. The<br />
focus <strong>of</strong> the first workshop hosted during June is on policy priorities, review <strong>of</strong> the<br />
five year strategic plan, identification <strong>of</strong> projects to be funded and the compilation<br />
<strong>of</strong> the first draft <strong>of</strong> the Annual Performance <strong>Plan</strong>.<br />
