● San Joaquin Region:
Linden Lions are busy cooking up a storm each
meeting as well as doing club visitations. Congratulations
to Frank Cucco for 53 years of perfect
attendance! Congratulations to Robert
Scheppmann for Melvin Jones Award.
Lodi Lions have had a pancake breakfast and a
golf tournament so far this year. Also they
cleaned up the Mickey Grove Sunshine Trail.
Congratulations to PP Jerry Workman – 50 year
pin!
Stockton Pacifica Lions have been working at
the UOP games, as well as supporting the All Star
Football Game.
Lodi Mexican American Lions worked the Lodi
Grape Festival with Lodi Lions and Delta Lions.
Pres. Hector managed to lose his gavel to the
visiting Linden Lions. Awwwww!
Stockton Fil Am Lions had a pancake breakfast
as a fundraiser and are planning their
Nanong/Manang Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon
for Nov. 22.
Delta Lions just added a new member which now
makes them larger than South Stockton! (OK
VDG Francis’s club, what are you going to do
about it Do you need the MERLO team to
visit ED. ☺) Also busy hosting Youth Exchange
students.
Tracy Breakfast Lions are their usual busy
selves fundraising and visiting and hosting 2
Youth Exchange students.
South Stockton Lions celebrated their 60 th
anniversary. Congratulations.

● Stanislaus Region:
Modesto Lions are announcing that the bricks
and the rest of the park equipment should be in by
the end of the month. Also they had a successful
drive through BBQ chicken fundraiser.
Greater Modesto Lions are getting ready to go to
the races. They also provided eyeglasses for 3
clients.
Ceres Lions are busy fundraising with BBQ
chicken dinner and calendar sales.
Modesto Breakfast Lions continue to put out
flags on patriotic holidays. They have an Italian
dinner coming up shortly.
Hilmar Irwin Stevinson Lions have completed
putting up “Welcome to Stevinson” signs. Also
they had a successful car night and are busily
planning Crab Night.
Modesto 500 Lions are working on a short tail in
the Stanislaus Region and collecting used
eyeglasses. Some of the members are starting a
mentoring program in reading at one of the local
schools.
Also heard from Turlock 12:10 and Turlock
Lions. That is 6 clubs out of 15. ●
