NEWS FROM THE VICE DISTRICT GOVERNOR: FRANCIS BOGNUDA Fellow Lions: Time flies when you are having fun! By the time you read this, we (Norma and I), will have been to San Diego for another Council of Governor’s meeting. They are very interesting, providing lots of information and training as well as fun. Talking about training, PDGs Bill Newyear and Pat Dimond will be having the annual Leadership Training at Harris Ranch January 17-19, 2009. If you are interested, you should call DG Pat CG or myself because it is limited seating. Anyone seeking good information about leadership should attend. Also, we traveled to 4-C5 for a District Meeting with VDG Viviann Cline-Shinn who visited our District Meeting in Ceres in August. Their meeting was quite a bit different and had informational forums. Governor Cathy Garcia, who was our district guest at the convention in Lake Tahoe said to say “Hi” to all of our Lions and to thank them for a great time. I have spent time traveling with DG Pat Casey- Gillum in the last two months. What a good time we have had meeting new Lions along the way. It is even better to learn about their projects that they do to help their communities. We always like to see newly inducted members in clubs. Clubs are moving forward now with new members and I hope it will continue toward the positive side this year. If any club needs a MERLO presentation at their club or Zone meeting, please call me and I will set it up. Would you like to make a difference in the life of a Lion You could call or visit someone who has not been to a meeting for awhile, or they may just need to be cheered up and asked to come back. Would you like to make a difference in your club You could invite a guest and hopefully he or she may become a member. Would you like to make a difference in your community You could create a new project. Remember, only YOU can make a difference.
