James Grant “The Major” inherited the Glen Grant
Distillery from his father and uncle in 1872 aged 25,
when he promptly set about changing the way single
malts were made. He invented the unique tall, slender
stills and purifiers which give Glen Grant its unique
character and distinctive flavour.
