MU ANNOUNCES THE 21 st SOUTHERN WRITERS SYMPOSIUM
FAYETTEVILLE, NC—The 21st Southern Writers Symposium will take place in
the Medical Lecture Hall located in the Physician Assistant Program Complex at Methodist
University from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011.
The event, which is themed Celebrating Emerging Writers: A Day of Reading and
Workshops, will feature writers from Florida, Tennessee, and North Carolina. The presenters
include Lorraine M. López, Cecilia Rodríguez Milanés, Michael Colonnese, Beth Copeland,
Robin Greene, Brenda Jernigan, and Shannon Ward.
The general admission fee for the symposium and lunch is $15.00. For an additional
fee, participants will have an opportunity to receive individual feedback on their own writing.
Students with a valid Methodist University I.D. card may attend the symposium free of
charge.
